I am an Artist from North Highlands, CA. Starting out as a portrait artist in my late teens. “I am a portrait artist at heart” is what I always say. I love to paint people, however I also discovered that I love to paint murals too. Mentored on Murals by my ARTner, Markos Egure from 2013 to present, I have completed 13 murals in Sacramento, CA, & 1 in San Diego. Operated two art galleries in Sacramento and now on to owning and running the Non Profit 501c3 ARTners. I am also a retired state worker and a single Mother of two great teenage boys. My purpose as a non profit owner is to inspire my kids and my community to be creative and to go for their dreams!!

With any partnership, an ARTnership follows the same structured guidelines except ARTners adds the creative uncharted path of self investment beyond the standards. Staying focused, committed and driven for that final result is in our sole purpose and foundation of understanding. Having these skills sets has opened opportunities in various employment areas, entrepreneurship and general survival to navigate through many challenges life brings using the art practices I’ve learned over the years. Art is more than lines, colors and shapes, it’s life; Beyond the Art.”

Michael Lemus is an educator, empowerment coach, writer, facilitator, and spiritual healer. He is of Central American roots and identifies as a proud Latino man. He is a social justice advocate and scholar practitioner at heart. Michael works full time as a Program Coordinator at Sacramento State and seeks to empower others to find their voice and passion in life.
